MONTY ROBERT (USA) BOOK:
The man who puts his faith into practice every day:
“The Man Who Listens to Horses.”
Published in 1996 by Hutchinson London.

JMC: Our Queen Elizabeth II, put her faith into practice one
December evening in 1988, when she asked Sir John Millar
to contact Monty Roberts for her and to arrange that he come
over to meet up with her, and to stay at Windsor Castle, for a
week or so.

MR: Her Majesty had read an article printed in The Blood Horse
and Florida Horse magazines, which explained the demonstrations
I’d been doing, that had intrigued her.

JMC: A WAY TO TRANSLATE THROUGH COPY MOVEMENT:
Similar to our Naga Munchetty bravely competing in the present
 “Strictly Come Dancing 2016. "

“The book tells the story of how Monty learned to listen to horses
and to communicate with them across the divide which our separate
 species naturally defines for us.

Monty Roberts (USA) was 53 years old in 1988 when his friend a neighbour John Bowles phoned him to say that a certain Sir John
Millar (UK) had contacted him requesting that he ask Monty Roberts
to come over to England to stay at Windsor Castle with our Queen Elizabeth II.

MONTY ROBERTS DEDICATES HIS BOOK

“I could think of no other choice than to dedicate this book to EQUUS: THE FLIGHT ANIMAL. It is my opinion that we owe this species an apology for causing it to endure our lack of understanding for
thousands of years. Equus has been my teacher, my friend and my provider”.

THANK YOU TO MY TEACHERS
“While Equus has been my greatest teacher, Marguerite Parson,
Sister Agnes Patricia, Bill Dorrance, Don Dodge and Dr Bill Miller

must take lot of credit for creating an environment in which I
could learn.”

AND A WORD TO MY READERS
“Whilst horses are friendly animals, mistreatment and fear can
render them hostile, and caution should be used if you are unsure
 of a horse’s temperament. "

“When Monty Roberts was thirteen years old he went off on his
own to the deserts of Nevada to watch mustangs in the wild.
What he learned about their methods of communication changed
 his life forever.

JMC: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF MONTY  ROBERTS:
Bloodhorse Literacy Explained:

“It isn’t the great trainer who can cause a horse to perform, it is the
great trainer who can cause a horse to want to.

“This is the fascinating life story of a man whose unique methods

reveal the depth of communication that is possible between man

and horse. “His powers may seem like magic but Monty Roberts’
amazing ‘horse sense’ is based on a lifetime of experience.
He started riding at the age
of two and has never looked back.  He has spent his whole life working
with horses, schooling them studying their behaviour in the wild,
listening to them, caring for them and learning their language.

“Monty Roberts describes his extraordinary early days as a rodeo rider in Salinas, California; his problems with his father who is unwilling to accept his young son’s unconventional training methods, his struggle to set up as
a professional trainer, his friendship with James Dean who is sent to him
to learn the rodeo lifestyle, his remedial work with traumatised
racehorses, and his demonstrations  of join-up to the Queen at Windsor,
an event which brought Monty’s methods to the attention of trainers and owners across the world.

“The events in Monty Roberts’ life are fascinating in themselves, but
above all his book reveals his deep love and understanding of horses.
We learn how, through his relationship with different horses, he gradually acquires his knowledge of their language and develops the methods which enable him to  perform his  ‘miracles’. According to Monty, anyone can learn Monty’s ‘join-ip’ methods. In this book he tells you how."

“Anyone interested in horses will find this book truly inspirational."
